Lebara was founded in 2001 and employs over 1,200 people in its eight markets around the world. The London based call centre serves all of its seven European operations, with staff fluent in over 25 languages. In 2013, Lebara was voted best MVNO at the UK Mobile Industry Awards and best MVNO for the fourth year running at the Mobile News Awards.

Between 2004 and 2010 Lebara Mobile provided international voice and SMS mobile services to over 2.5 million customers in: the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, Australia and Germany and has ambitions to become the brand of choice for 1 billion people by 2020.

In March 2011, Lebara worked with PCS to deliver the Lebara Prepaid MasterCard in the UK, a twin-pack money share product designed to allow Lebara customers transfer money to loved ones easily and quickly using the MasterCard global network. This program was hugely successful with rapid distribution throughout Lebara's customer base.

During 2012, PCS worked with Lebara further to expand the Lebara Money brand and product base.

Working with global partner MoneyGram, PCS developed software to implement global money transfer and international airtime remittance and supported Lebara in the relaunch of the www.lebara-money.com website.

PCS operate all the customer identification and take on processes, payment gateways and website for Lebara Money and provide ongoing support and compliance functions for the Lebara Money team.
