Payment Card Solutions collected more silverware last night at the Payments Awards 2013 dinner held at the Milleninnium Hotel in Mayfair, London.
Not only was its innovative Bread4Scrap product named Best Prepaid Card, but PCS rounded off the evening by collecting the Overall Winner trophy at the prestigious industry gathering.
The FStech and Retail Systems Payments Awards recognise cards and payments excellence and technology innovation within the UK and EMEA. PCS fought off stiff competition from some of the UK's leading companies including Barclays PingIt, Worldpay, RBS and Nokia.
The winners were announced at a glittering black tie Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony at London’s prestigious Millennium Hotel, Mayfair, London, on Thursday 14 November 2013. The event brought together hundreds of professionals for a night of networking and celebration.
PCS CEO Paul Swinton commented - "Winning best overall payment product in the UK for Bread4Scrap exceeded all our expectations. The whole team have worked incredibly hard to bring this product to market, and this award is in recognition of their success. It has been a great year for PCS and we are looking forward to growing our Bread4Business payments portfolio in 2014."
Richard Fancourt, PCS Commercial Director, commented - "These awards are a lovely recognition of all the hard work that PCS have put in over the last 18 months. Since we heard about the imminent law change we have worked tirelessly to bring in the right product for this market. It is a unique marketplace and we have had to overcome some serious hurdles along the way and I am very proud that our efforts have now been officially recognised. I would also like to thank Mastercard, IDT and the BRMA for all their help and support."
The Bread4Scrap prepaid card program is a highly innovative solution to the 2012 legal changes within the scrap metals industry effectively banning the use of cash to pay for scrap metal received. It combines PCS's card loading platform and bread for business corporate prepaid card into a simple and effective solution for the scrap metals industry.
